Kinesio Taping
Supportive elastic taping that may help ease discomfort and provide gentle support between sessions. Available at no additional charge when requested in advance.
What Is Kinesio Taping?
Kinesio taping uses flexible, elastic therapeutic tape applied to the skin. It can provide gentle support without significantly restricting movement and may help reduce discomfort, improve body awareness, and support an area between appointments.
Taping is available at no additional charge when incorporated into your massage session. Please request it before your appointment so I can plan enough time. Application time is part of your scheduled session—for example, if I estimate taping takes 10 minutes during a 60-minute appointment, you will receive approximately 50 minutes of massage.
Kinesio Taping May Help With:
Areas needing light support
Muscle or joint discomfort
Body and movement awareness
Swelling or bruising
Postural support
Extending support after a massage session
Before and After Taping
Tape is applied to clean, dry skin, usually near the end of your appointment. Avoid taking hot baths, showers or using a hot tub, as this may release the tape. The tape may remain in place for several days if it stays comfortable and your skin responds well.
Remove the tape if you develop itching, irritation, pain, numbness, or unusual discomfort. To remove it, loosen the adhesive with oil or warm water and peel the tape back slowly while supporting the skin—do not pull it straight up.
